1988
Ugalde, T.D. | Jerie, P.H. | Chalmers, D.J. (Victorian Dept. of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Tatura (Australia). Inst. for Irrigation and Salinity Research)
In both fruits, pH is shown to change from neutral to acidic as growth rate changes from slow to rapid; in peaches the changes occurred over a 4-week period, in apricots more quickly. The significance for the regulation of mesocarp development is discussed.
