The study is an attempt to achieve a sexual maturity of the farm raised shrimp in captivity by eyestalk ablation. The experiments were performed in laboratory, in shrimp pond, and in concrete tanks. The results showed that the farm raised shrimp of size above 70.0 g can be induced to spawn successfully by eyestalk ablation method. The larvae obtained from the spawning are strong and enable to survive through stages as those produced by brood stock obtained from the sea.
