The evaluation of lipid body reserves mobilization in ruminants with traditional technics, would be of limitated value in some physiological conditions, like early lactation. In this work, the excretion of adipokinetics substances in urine was studied as a first contribution to the development of new indicators of lipid mobilization and the response in terms of plasma FFA concentrations was evaluated with fasting animals.
