Study the effects of plating date and narvesting date on yield of potato cultivars (S.tuberosum) in Ardebil

This project was done for determining the effects of planting and harvesting dates to obtain maximum potential yield of 2 potato cultivars in Ardebil region. A split spilt plot on the basis of completely randomize block design with 3 replication in Ardebil Agriculture research Station for 2 years2002-2003)was used.In this experiment potato cultivarars, different planting dates and different harvesting dates were used as main plots, sub plots and sub sub plots respectively. The result showed that cultivars,planting and harvesting dates influenced possitively tuber yields(ton/ha), no of tuber per plant, no of main stms and mean yield of single plant (gr)which were significiant at 1% level.Agria cultivar with (ton/ha) at 3 May planting date and 19 August harvesting date were the highest level.
